Job Overview

A law firm in Birmingham, MI, is seeking an experienced Finance Attorney with 6-15 years of significant experience in finance matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading transactions, a comprehensive understanding of both lender and borrower side work, and proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and loan documents. A portable book of business and demonstrated business development capabilities are preferred. Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage finance-related transactions, with a demonstrated ability to operate in a first-chair capacity.
• Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, loan documentation, and related financial documents.
• Conduct thorough due diligence for finance transactions, ensuring comprehensive understanding and accuracy.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on both lender and borrower side matters.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, contributing to business development efforts.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high responsiveness.
• Ensure exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Deliver outstanding customer/client service, promptly addressing client needs and concerns.

Requirements

• 6-15 years of substantial experience in finance matters.
• Proven ability to lead transactions in a first chair capacity is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of lender and borrower side work, including loan documentation and due diligence.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents.
• Portable book of business preferred.
• Demonstrated business development capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Outstanding customer/client service skills.
• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.

Education and Certifications
