This role involves handling complex employment law matters, including pre-litigation, single-plaintiff cases, class actions, and client counseling. Duties

• Handle pre-litigation matters, including investigations and resolution strategies.
• Manage single-plaintiff employment lawsuits and systemic discrimination cases.
• Litigate wage and hour class actions and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions.
• Respond to administrative charges filed with government agencies.
• Counsel corporate clients on a variety of employment-related legal issues.
• Conduct depositions, argue motions, and appear in court for hearings.
• Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with a team of legal professionals on cutting-edge employment law cases.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of litigation experience, ideally from a peer law firm.
• Proven ability to independently manage cases and collaborate within a team.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Member in good standing of the California State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials preferred.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar is mandatory.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
