This role demands a legal professional with at least 3+ years of experience in healthcare litigation and a deep understanding of employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Duties:

  • Draft, design, implement, and administer tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Advise on executive compensation and benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Navigate complex taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements, including Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Design and draft employment contracts and executive compensation arrangements tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their benefits strategies and provide effective solutions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation efforts and client advisories.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and guidance throughout the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law.
  • Proven track record in healthcare litigation and disputes.
  • Strong academic credentials and law firm experience.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ambition and drive to contribute to the growth of the practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the MO State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client management capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex legal matters.
