A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its team in Bellevue, WA. This hybrid role offers an opportunity to work across various practice areas, including real estate transactions, boundary disputes, construction litigation, and creditor/debtor rights. Ideal candidates should have 0-7 years of experience, a commitment to professionalism, and a collaborative approach.

Duties:

  • Assist senior attorneys in all phases of case management and strategy.
  • Conduct thorough research on case law, regulations, and relevant statutes.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, representing clients in court under supervision.
  • Communicate with clients, providing updates and addressing case concerns.
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Develop legal strategies and analyze potential conflicts in legal matters.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients, collaborating with co-counsel as needed.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong drafting and legal writing skills.
  • Experience or interest in real estate law, litigation, and creditor/debtor rights is preferred.
  • Familiarity with civil litigation rules and deadlines (state and federal) is advantageous.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Washington State.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and court interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple cases.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Experience with NetDocs and Tabs3 is beneficial.
