Duties:

  • Advise healthcare providers and specialty practices on federal and state healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with laws such as HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Provide legal support in healthcare transactions, compliance audits, and investigations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external legal teams on multidisciplinary matters involving healthcare regulatory issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate strategies to mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and guide clients through evolving healthcare laws.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Proven experience working with regulatory bodies such as HHS, CMS, and state healthcare agencies.
  • Ability to handle complex healthcare transactions and manage compliance investigations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in New Jersey or eligibility for admission.
