A reputable law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Mid-Level Project Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transactional matters. This role will be focused on working within the Finance Practice Group and supporting the Energy Sector. The ideal candidate should have experience in renewable energy project finance, tax credit transactions, and an understanding of due diligence in this sector.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.
  • Manage renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions from inception through closing.
  • Oversee the due diligence process, including managing specialists and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with subject-matter experts to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
  • Assist in advancing strategic objectives of the law firm’s Energy Sector through effective project management and client interaction.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transactional work, specifically in project finance and tax credit transactions.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex financial and legal documents.
  • Experience managing and overseeing comprehensive due diligence efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member, in good standing, of the Texas Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal drafting and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
