Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of litigation experience, primarily focusing on civil litigated matters in the field of insurance law. The role involves providing legal advice, conducting legal research, managing written discovery, handling depositions, negotiating settlements, and engaging in other essential litigation tasks. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California.

Location:

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and counsel on litigation and insurance matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support cases and client needs.
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions in litigation matters.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Handle day-to-day civil litigation matters from start to finish.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members in case strategy development.
• Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Strong understanding of California Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience handling civil litigation matters, including discovery, depositions, and negotiations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
