A well-established law firm in Atlanta, GA is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience in civil litigation, specifically within defense. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing cases independently while collaborating with senior attorneys and team members to deliver high-quality defense for clients. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with an emphasis on trial preparation and client interaction.

Duties:

• Independently manage day-to-day operations of cases, including delegating tasks to support staff and collaborating with partners as needed.
• Track and ensure compliance with deadlines such as answer deadlines, discovery deadlines, and other critical milestones.
• Draft and review legal documents such as answers, discovery responses, and production materials.
• Oversee and delegate tasks to nursing, paralegal, and administrative staff, ensuring clear communication and adherence to instructions.
• Conduct depositions and provide detailed reports on deposition outcomes.
• Communicate with expert witnesses and manage telephone consultations regarding case specifics.
• Assist in organizing and preparing medical records and other materials for expert witnesses.
• Participate in trial preparation and actively contribute to trial proceedings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on defense.
• Proven ability to handle cases autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Georgia.

Skills:
