Job Overview: A law firm seeks a motivated Patent Agent to support clients in securing patent protections for innovative technologies. The role involves drafting patent applications, managing prosecution processes, and providing strategic IP counsel.

• Duties:

  • Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications for clients, ensuring compliance with USPTO and international regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence, landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate, and validity assessments.
  • Prepare responses to patent office actions and rejections.
  • Support patent litigation efforts with technical expertise.

• Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in patent prosecution.
  • Registration with the USPTO is required.
  • Industry experience in software development/engineering, AI, machine learning, or semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
