Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney with 2-6 years of experience to join its New York City office. This role provides an opportunity to work on high-risk litigation and business disputes for a diverse client base, including global corporations and local businesses. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and writing skills and be eager to gain trial experience as part of a dynamic litigation team.

Duties

• Participate in trial preparation, including strategy discussions, discovery, and client and witness interviews
• Conduct legal research and analysis on cases, clients, and associated worksites
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, memos, and client updates
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as needed
• Travel nationally up to 20% of the time, sometimes on short notice

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in defense litigation, with preference for experience in product liability or toxic tort cases
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong client-focused approach with an initiative-driven mindset

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and in-good-standing membership with the New York State Bar (additional state bar admissions are a plus)
