A law firm in Ewing, NJ, is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join their growing employment practice. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters, represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums, and contribute to the firm's expansion through networking and expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and whistleblower claims.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with support staff in developing effective and efficient litigation strategies.
  • Oversee case-related resources and timelines to ensure efficient progression of cases.
  • Foster meaningful client relationships by providing regular updates and empathetic guidance.
  • Stay updated with developments in employment law, industry trends, and precedents to inform case strategies.
  • Contribute to firm growth by identifying potential opportunities and participating in networking events.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the New Jersey Bar, in good standing; admissions to New York or Pennsylvania Bars are a plus.
  • 4-7 years of litigation experience, including at least 2 years focused on employment law.
  • Proficiency in independently managing all stages of litigation, from initiation to resolution.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in independently managing litigation matters.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
