Job Overview:

Duties:

• Manage and resolve complex insurance coverage and reinsurance cases, including high-exposure matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responding to motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Make court appearances and present oral arguments.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on litigation strategy and case management.
• Engage in business development and foster client relationships.
• Work independently and manage cases with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, particularly in professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Proven experience in civil litigation, including motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and provide excellent client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in California.
