Investment Management Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a dedicated Investment Management Associate to join its team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role requires a proactive attorney with a minimum of two years of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and/or investment management. This position will involve working with corporate transactions, private equity investments, private funds, and securities law compliance.

Duties

• Handle corporate transactions, M&A, and investment management-related matters
• Engage in private equity investments and private fund management
• Analyze and apply statutory and regulatory requirements
• Draft and review legal documents, focusing on securities offerings and corporate governance
• Work within Federal and State Securities Laws, including the Investment Advisers Act and Investment Company Act

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in corporate, M&A, or investment management law
• Demonstrated experience in corporate transactions and private fund management
• Proficiency in legal writing and document analysis
• Strong knowledge of corporate and governance principles
• Familiarity with securities laws and regulations

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar membership in North Carolina or eligibility for admission to practice in North Carolina
