Job Title: Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in product liability and complex commercial litigation, with experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. This position involves substantial client interaction, supervision of associates, and significant involvement in case strategy and fact development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates to ensure quality and timely work products.
• Collaborate with experts to develop case strategy and gather pertinent information.
• Assist with fact development and depositions, ensuring accurate and thorough preparation.
• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Help develop and implement case strategy to achieve client objectives.
• Produce high-quality deliverables, manage correspondence, and answer phone calls efficiently and responsively.
• Meet deadlines and expectations while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
• Foster positive work relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in virtual calls, and attending meetings.
• Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industries and clients.
• Admitted to practice in California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are highly desirable.
