A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney, licensed in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, to join its team in Wellesley, MA. Specializing in insurance defense, tort litigation, and fraud investigation, this role offers the flexibility of hybrid work with a minimal in-office presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in insurance law and litigation.

Duties

  • Represent clients in insurance defense matters, including tort litigation and insurance fraud cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare pleadings.
  • Investigate claims, analyze coverage issues, and advise clients on case strategy.
  • Manage discovery, depositions, and pre-trial activities.
  • Provide counsel on first-party coverage, fraud investigation, and bad faith claims.
  • Participate in declaratory judgment actions, subrogation cases, and civil recovery suits.

Requirements

  • Active Bar membership in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
  • Proven experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or tort litigation.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
