The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling defense cases, particularly class actions, and a deep understanding of California and federal wage and hour laws. This role requires excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to work independently and manage complex litigation tasks effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend wage and hour litigation, with a focus on class actions.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests in wage and hour cases with minimal supervision.
• Conducted depositions and handled motions related to discovery issues.
• Develop and implement discovery plans.
• Draft and oppose motions for class certification in wage and hour matters.
• Interface with clients to provide professional and strategic advice on legal issues.
• Maintain high standards of communication and follow-through on all litigation matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience defending wage and hour litigation, with a preference for class action cases.
• In-depth knowledge of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal/rest periods regulations.
• Proven experience in preparing and responding to written discovery with limited oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to manage depositions and discovery-related motions.
• Experience in creating and executing discovery plans.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
