Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in state and federal courts in Texas, defending commercial litigation, employment litigation, personal injury, and wrongful death lawsuits.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery processes, including depositions, document production, and witness preparation.
  • Develop case strategy, including risk assessment, settlement negotiation, and trial preparation.
  • Attend and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to manage cases and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, keeping them informed on case progress and possible outcomes.
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and build strong defenses in preparation for trial.
  • Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience, specifically in defending commercial litigation, employment litigation, personal injury lawsuits, and/or wrongful death lawsuits.
    • Experience in both Texas state and federal courts is required.
  • Education:
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure and Certifications:
    • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas is required.
