A leading law firm specializing in immigration law is seeking a passionate and experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team remotely, with a focus on humanitarian immigration cases. The position primarily involves managing a large caseload of family-based immigration matters, including T visas and VAWA cases. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated advocate for immigrant rights, particularly for those who have been historically disadvantaged, and will play a key role in providing legal representation and guidance to clients, primarily from Mexico and Central America.

Location:

  • Tucson, Arizona

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of family-based immigration cases, including T visas and VAWA applications.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients, focusing on immigrants facing labor trafficking, extreme cruelty, and other humanitarian challenges.
  • Directly engage with clients to ensure they receive the highest level of legal guidance and customer service.
  • Lead a team of legal professionals, ensuring a high standard of case strategy, research, and legal writing.
  • Maintain the firm's high success rate in filings by driving successful case outcomes.
  • Innovatively navigate complex immigration challenges, such as overcoming permanent and 10-year bars through legal processes like VAWA.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in removal defense, T visas, or VAWA cases.
  • Strong advocacy for immigrants’ rights and a passion for humanitarian immigration work.
  • Excellent leadership and case management skills to handle a large caseload effectively.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and case strategy skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to address complex legal issues.
