A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned Mergers and Acquisitions Resource Attorney to support the firm's M&A practice by inputting deal terms into the Transaction Database, preparing template documents, monitoring legal developments, and collaborating with various teams within the firm.

 

Duties:

  • Input deal terms from signed firm deals into the Transaction Database
  • Coordinate with the knowledge management team to audit and maintain the database
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing precedent of template documents
  • Curate and organize the M&A group's forms, precedents, and other know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments related to M&A practice, prepare summaries, and alerts
  • Coordinate with the legal education team to brainstorm content for associate training and firmwide training efforts on M&A
  • Collaborate with the M&A marketing team to strategize on M&A promotion, assist with content creation for pitches and teach-ins
  • Field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Participate in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney
  • 7+ years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice
  • Basic understanding of public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends
  • Strong drafting and organizational skills

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
