Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled Transactional IP and Trademark Attorney to join their dynamic Intellectual Property & Technology practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with top-tier clients in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling both domestic and international trademark matters, intellectual property counseling, and IP licensing.

Duties:

• Develop and execute domestic and international trademark strategies.
• Conduct trademark clearance searches and filings globally.
• Oversee trademark search, prosecution, defense, and enforcement within the United States and internationally.
• Provide legal advice on trademark and copyright matters.
• Advise on intellectual property (IP) licensing and agreements.
• Conduct IP due diligence for various transactions.
• Handle copyright search, prosecution, defense, and enforcement, including DMCA matters.
• Provide litigation support for IP-related cases.
• Collaborate across other practice areas, including litigation, corporate law, franchising, international trade, and antitrust to deliver comprehensive legal advice to clients.

Requirements:

• 6-12 years of relevant legal experience in transactional IP and trademark law.
• Strong academic background with excellent credentials.
• Experience in trademark and copyright prosecution and enforcement.
• Broad knowledge of IP law, including domestic and international issues.
• In-house experience is a plus, as well as experience in non-legal roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving abilities, and an aptitude for managing multiple projects.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative setting.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law (must be licensed in the District of Columbia).
