A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Taxation and Wealth Planning Associate Attorney to join their team in Greensboro, NC. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in general tax, trusts and estates, and estate planning. Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel on matters related to tax, estate planning, and wealth management for individual clients, corporations, and family-owned businesses.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and tax planning strategies for estates.
  • Collaborate with clients on establishing and maintaining family trusts and charitable foundations.
  • Advise high-net-worth individuals on strategies to minimize tax liabilities and protect assets.
  • Assist clients with structuring estate plans to ensure smooth transitions of wealth.
  • Conduct legal research on complex tax and estate planning issues.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings related to tax disputes or estate administration.
  • Stay current with changes in state and federal tax laws, estate planning regulations, and trust administration best practices.
  • Coordinate with other attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors to provide comprehensive legal support.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships, providing ongoing legal advice and support.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in general tax law, estate planning, and trusts.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with corporations, family-owned businesses, private foundations, and tax-exempt organizations is a plus.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Preferred Education and Certifications

  • A Master’s Degree (LLM) in Taxation is strongly preferred.
  • Current licenses to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
