Job Overview

A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Global Franchise and Supply Network Associate Attorney to join their team. This position involves multiple areas of franchise and distribution law, including developing and structuring franchise and distributor programs, assessing and counseling on various franchise contract and relationship issues, drafting franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements, performing state registrations, negotiating supply contracts and other transactions, assisting in franchise dispute resolution, and handling international development and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and structure franchise and distributor programs.
  • Assess and counsel on franchise contract and relationship issues.
  • Draft and review franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements.
  • Perform state registrations for franchise and distribution operations.
  • Negotiate and draft supply contracts and other related transactions.
  • Assist in resolving franchise disputes through various mechanisms.

Requirements

  • High level of academic achievement with a solid academic record.
  • Experience working in a law firm, particularly franchise and distribution law.
  • Superb writing, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Massachusetts or ability to obtain Bar admission.
