A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney to join its Private Equity Finance practice in Los Angeles. This is a key position within a growing practice that works on a wide range of high-level transactions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance, and a strong background in borrower-side representation, particularly with private equity sponsors.

Duties:

  • Advise and represent corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies in acquisition finance, leveraged finance, and private credit transactions.
  • Lead and manage mid-cap and top-tier finance transactions from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing, collegial team to negotiate and draft finance-related legal documents.
  • Provide strategic advice to private equity sponsors on a range of complex financing matters.
  • Ensure the protection and maintenance of sensitive, confidential, and privileged information in compliance with firm policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
  • Preference for candidates with strong borrower-side representation experience, particularly with private equity sponsors.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions and complex finance matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California or eligible for admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple transactions.
