Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-senior level Real Estate Associate to join its Washington, D.C. office. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in the real estate sector, including handling commercial real estate transactions and digital infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in joint ventures, financing, leasing, and other transactional real estate work. Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, leases, subleases, and financing documents
  • Handle all aspects of deal closings and transactional processes
  • Conduct title work and other due diligence related to real estate transactions
  • Advise clients on joint venture agreements, data center leasing, colocation agreements, and master service agreements
  • Collaborate closely with senior shareholders on complex transactions
  • Anticipate client needs and offer proactive legal solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
  • Background in digital infrastructure transactions is strongly preferred
  • Experience in joint ventures, disposition, financing, and data center leasing is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Admission to the DC Bar or eligibility to be admitted as soon as practicable

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the DC Bar (or eligible to apply)

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate transactional law, including joint ventures and financing
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management abilities
  • Attention to detail and excellent drafting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
