A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its employment litigation defense team in Sacramento, CA. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in labor and employment law, defending clients against single-plaintiff lawsuits and wage and hour class actions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients on strategic decisions and represent them in various legal proceedings.

Duties

  • Defend clients in employment-related lawsuits, including individual and class action cases.
  • Work directly with clients to develop litigation strategies and provide legal advice.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare necessary documentation for cases.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in employment law.
  • Active admission to the California State Bar.
  • Familiarity with current court procedures and state and federal employment-related agency processes.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
