Associate Attorney Litigation

A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Baltimore, MD. Duties:

• Manage all phases of civil litigation, including drafting complaints, responding to written discovery, and preparing motions.
• Conduct depositions and collaborate with other attorneys on case strategies.
• Represent clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-trial to trial.
• Independently manage a caseload and handle complex legal matters.
• Work closely with clients to communicate case progress and provide legal counsel.
• Conduct legal research to support case development and ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Develop expertise in representing survivors of traumatic events, particularly those affected by sexual abuse.
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment, fostering a collaborative approach to client representation and case strategies.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for those with plaintiff-side experience, particularly in injury matters.
• Experience in litigation of liability issues, such as insurance defense, will also be considered.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple cases independently while working within a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice, particularly in cases involving survivors of abuse.
• Ability to perform legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for trial.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland.
