Junior to Mid-Level Trust and Estate Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Trust and Estate Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in litigation, with a strong focus on trust, estate, conservatorship, guardianship, and elder abuse matters. This role involves assisting with all aspects of litigation, including drafting petitions, discovery, taking depositions, making court appearances, and participating in trials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all phases of trust and estate litigation, including drafting petitions and discovery documents.
• Take depositions and make court appearances.
• Prepare and participate in trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys in strategizing and managing cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to trust and estate matters.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Interact with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Manage case files and maintain organized documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and procedures.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, with a focus or strong interest in trust and estate litigation.
• Prior experience in trust, estate, conservatorship, guardianship, and elder abuse litigation is highly desirable.
• Strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to handle complex legal issues and manage multiple cases effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
