A law firm located in Boston is seeking an Employment Associate (Litigation) Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in employment litigation, including matters related to discrimination, leave, wage and hour disputes, non-compete issues, and breach of contract. This role involves providing comprehensive employment and HR-related counseling, drafting policies and agreements, and conducting investigations and training. The candidate must be adept at advising employers on compliance matters and delivering high-quality client service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, leave, wage and hour disputes, non-compete issues, and breach of contract matters.
  • Provide everyday employment and HR-related counseling to clients.
  • Draft employment-related policies and agreements, including employee handbooks, employment agreements, and separation agreements.
  • Conduct investigations related to employment issues.
  • Deliver employment-related compliance training to clients.
  • Advise employers on employment-related compliance matters.
  • Manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of employment litigation experience before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar, or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and exercise attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.
  • Proficiency in drafting employment policies and agreements.
  • Experience conducting investigations and delivering compliance training.
