Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney to join their team. The firm is dedicated to changing the lives of the Latino immigrant community through zealous advocacy, creative solutions, and aggressive legal strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex immigration, Crimmigration, and personal injury cases, while working closely with clients and senior attorneys to provide exceptional legal support.

Location:

  • Miami, FL 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support cases, and draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and written legal analyses.
  • Interact with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and address their concerns.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials, and argue motions on behalf of clients.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring documentation, deadlines, and communication with involved parties are properly maintained.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies, prepare cases, and seek guidance on complex legal issues.
  • Provide legal advice to clients under the supervision of senior attorneys.
  • Stay informed about legal developments and participate in continuing legal education to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing immigration or Crimmigration law.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Successful completion of the bar exam.
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Ability to collaborate with senior attorneys to serve client needs and expand the client base.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with immigration court proceedings, including asylum cases and removal proceedings, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar and active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA).

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of immigration court proceedings, including asylum and removal cases.
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to build strong relationships.
