A law firm in Fulton, MD is seeking a Junior Partner-Level Real Estate Transactional Attorney with significant experience in handling complex real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and drafting various real estate documents, advising C-Suite executives, and preferably bring a portable book of business to contribute to the firm's Commercial Real Estate, Business, Land Use, and Environmental practice.

Duties:

  • Negotiate, revise, and prepare a wide range of real estate documents including letters of intent, commercial lease agreements, lease amendments, loan documents, purchase and sales agreements, settlement and closing documents, management and fee agreements, restrictive covenants, subordination agreements, loan agreements, and construction agreements.
  • Advise C-Suite executives and business clients on real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and joint ventures.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and manage transactional closings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and risk assessment to clients regarding real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Maryland, with membership in good standing preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience practicing real estate transactions at a reputable law firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in acquisitions/dispositions, finance, leasing, and joint ventures.
  • Proven track record of managing complex real estate transactions independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Portable book of business is highly encouraged.
  • Experience advising clients in the commercial real estate, business, land use, and environmental sectors.
  • Familiarity with Maryland real estate laws and regulations.
