A law firm seeks a highly skilled Business Transactional Attorney to join its collaborative and growing team. This role requires expertise in advising both start-up ventures and established organizations, including non-profit entities, across various sectors. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance while working in a supportive and flexible work environment.

Duties:

  • Manage a broad range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, partnership agreements, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to business operations, succession planning, and corporate structures.
  • Provide legal counsel to both new and established businesses, including for-profit and non-profit entities.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance, by-laws, and preparation of corporate documents such as corporate minutes.
  • Collaborate with clients to align legal strategies with business goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by developing and managing client relationships.
  • Work effectively with colleagues in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnership agreements.
  • Ability to advise start-ups, established businesses, and non-profit organizations across various sectors.
  • Prior experience working with government contractors is a plus.
  • A Maryland bar license is required; additional bars, including D.C., are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex transactions with precision.
  • A proactive attitude toward business development and client growth.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Maryland.
  • Additional bar admissions, including Washington, D.C., are a plus.
