Duties:

  • Handle defense of wage and hour litigation, with a particular focus on class actions.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct depositions and manage discovery-related motions.
  • Develop and execute discovery strategies and plans.
  • Draft legal documents, including oppositions to motions for class certification.
  • Interface directly with clients, offering strategic guidance and legal advice on litigation matters.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal team members.
  • Ensure all litigation tasks are completed with attention to detail and within required deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in defense litigation, particularly in wage and hour disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of both California and federal wage and hour laws, including regulations on overtime, meal, and rest periods.
  • Experience managing discovery processes and formulating litigation strategies with limited oversight.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
