This position is ideal for a dedicated attorney with a strong foundation in corporate transactions, particularly in mergers, acquisitions, and private equity. The role involves working on sophisticated deals, providing strategic legal counsel, and collaborating with a dynamic legal team to deliver exceptional results for clients.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate key agreements for mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence to identify legal and regulatory risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on structuring deals and managing corporate governance issues.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to execute complex transactions effectively.
  • Advise on compliance with federal and state regulations affecting corporate and transactional matters.
  • Monitor deal progress, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 7 years of experience handling mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and legal writing abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.

Skills:

  • Expertise in transactional law, corporate governance, and deal structuring.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and client management capabilities.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team setting and independently when required.
