Duties:

  • Defend employers in lawsuits involving employment-related claims such as wage and hour disputes, discrimination, and class/collective actions.
  • Advise employers on a broad spectrum of employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination laws.
  • Represent employers in court, before government agencies, and in mediations and arbitrations on employment matters such as employment contracts, non-compete cases, and employment torts.
  • Provide legal training to employers on compliance with labor laws and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop proactive strategies to minimize litigation risks.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar, with good standing.
  • Proven experience in class action litigation preferred.
  • Strong interest in developing a career focused on labor and employment litigation.
  • Willingness to accept constructive feedback and apply it in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Competitive class ranking is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Texas State Bar (required).
