Job Responsibilities

  • Conducted and managed complex commercial real estate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other real estate documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support on matters related to real estate transactions, including due diligence and title review.
  • Represent clients in real estate negotiations and closings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist clients with financing arrangements and structuring real estate investments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in real estate matters.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing excellent client service and fostering new business opportunities.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to enhance legal skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of law firm experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Significant "dirt" experience, including leasing.
  • Proven track record of managing complex real estate transactions from inception to completion.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Washington, DC.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate law and transaction processes.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
