Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and develop the firm’s Trusts & Estates practice, acting as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families.

  • Craft and execute tailored estate plans, including wills, trusts, and asset protection strategies.

  • Provide legal guidance on tax-efficient wealth transfers, charitable giving, and business succession planning.

  • Analyze and interpret relevant estate, gift, and trust tax laws to ensure compliance and optimal client outcomes.

  • Represent clients in probate proceedings and estate administration, ensuring the smooth execution of final wishes.

  • Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver a holistic planning approach.

  • Stay informed on legislative updates and industry trends to refine and enhance estate planning strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 1 to 6 years of experience practicing Trusts & Estates law, with exposure to high-net-worth clientele preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, tax law, and asset protection strategies.

  • Exceptional drafting skills, with the ability to create comprehensive legal documents tailored to clients’ needs.

  • Adept at explaining complex legal concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.

  • Ability to work independently while also fostering collaboration with colleagues and external advisors.

  • Licensed to practice law in New York or be eligible for admission.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
