Duties

  • Manage a substantial caseload, particularly in the field of creditor’s rights.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, requiring frequent appearances and some travel.
  • Provide sound legal advice and develop strategic solutions for clients.
  • Cultivate strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Assist in business development and contributing to the firm’s growth and reputation.
  • Stay current with developments in real estate, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights law.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state regulations, including TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code.

Requirements

  • Active membership in good standing with the Missouri State Bar.
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts if not already licensed.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience preferred; newly licensed attorneys will also be considered.
  • Strong familiarity with creditor's rights litigation, discovery processes, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to represent clients in court and manage a high caseload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and team collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings as needed.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar memberships are a plus.
