Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a skilled Real Estate Associate to join its Chambers-ranked real estate group. This position offers an opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including debt financing, joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, development work, leasing, and title and survey matters. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including debt financing, joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, development projects, leasing, and title and survey matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, leases, financing agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on real estate matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on transaction structuring and legal solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and transactions simultaneously.
  • Provide high-quality legal writing, including memoranda and other formal documents.
  • Work independently while being part of a supportive team-oriented environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage substantial individual responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated excellence in legal writing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing expertise in real estate law.
  • Membership in good standing with the California Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar (or eligibility to become a member in good standing).

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and drafting skills.
  • Expertise in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, debt financing, and joint ventures.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Client-focused with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues independently while also contributing to a team.
