This position will involve working across all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution, with a focus on technologies related to electrical engineering, computer science, and software. Location:

Duties:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, software, computer science, and related technologies
  • Draft patent claims, specifications, and supporting documents
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their inventions and develop patent strategies
  • Provide counsel on patentability assessments, patent portfolio management, and IP strategy
  • Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Work within a team environment to ensure high-quality service to clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution
  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience with AI and machine learning patent applications is preferred
  • Must be admitted to practice before the USPTO
  • Collaborative, client-focused mindset with a team-oriented approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
