The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload of consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa cases. This role requires a proactive individual who can prepare clients for consulate interviews, represent them before USCIS, and oversee a team of paralegals to ensure client satisfaction and productivity.

Duties:

  • Manage a workload of CP/Waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa applications.
  • Prepare clients for their consulate interviews, ensuring they are fully informed and ready.
  • Represent clients before USCIS, providing effective advocacy and support.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of immigration applications and packets prepared by the team.
  • Oversee and manage a team of paralegals, setting productivity goals and maintaining high client service standards.
  • Provide legal analysis to clients to identify potential benefits or issues related to their cases.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients and team members to strategize and advance cases efficiently.
  • Utilize case management software to track and manage case progress.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law, focusing on consular processing and waivers.
  • Proven record of advancing legal cases and managing a substantial caseload.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with case management software is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating collaboration and support.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of immigration law, especially consular processing and waiver applications.
  • Excellent communication and client-interaction skills.
  • Ability to prepare clients for interviews and represent them effectively before USCIS.
  • Proficient in using case management software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are highly desirable.
