Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Vancouver, Washington, is seeking a skilled Estate Planning Attorney to join their team. This position requires an attorney specializing in Wills, Trusts, and Estates law to assist clients with their estate planning needs, probate processes, and business formation. The attorney will manage a dedicated legal team and ensure timely legal drafts and comprehensive representation for clients. The opportunity for remote work is available.

Location:

  • Vancouver, Washington

Duties:

  • Client Counseling:
    • Advise clients on estate planning, including wills and trusts
    • Guide clients through the probate process and other legal matters
    • Provide business formation advice, including creating necessary business documents and explaining business structures
    • Assess clients’ litigation needs and develop appropriate legal strategies
  • Legal Drafting and Review:
    • Draft and review estate plans, probate applications, guardianship applications, business contracts, litigation plans, motions, and petitions
  • Hearings:
    • Represent clients at hearings, including prove-ups and guardianship matters
  • Marketing:
    • Promote legal services through networking and marketing efforts
    • Assist in writing and reviewing marketing materials and attending industry events

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in Wills, Trusts, and Estate planning law
  • Strong listening, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Ability to supervise a legal team and ensure timely and accurate work

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington

Skills:

  • Expertise in Wills, Trusts, and Estates law
  • Strong legal drafting and reviewing abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop effective legal strategies and solutions
  • Strong marketing and networking capabilities
