Job Overview
A prestigious law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Discovery Attorney to provide expertise in eDiscovery and litigation support across various case phases, from preservation through production. This role involves advising and collaborating with case teams and clients on discovery strategies, governance, and risk mitigation. The Senior Discovery Attorney will be responsible for managing eDiscovery workflows, ensuring deliverable quality, and contributing to overall case success.

Duties

  • Advise clients and case teams on all discovery phases, including preservation, collection, processing, review, and production.
  • Provide pre-litigation information governance, deposition and witness preparation, and trial support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, and clients to design, implement, and manage eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of work delivered by junior attorneys, project attorneys, technologists, and service providers.
  • Manage risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility in eDiscovery practices.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery and litigation support.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Strong background in managing eDiscovery processes and legal discovery workflows.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • eDiscovery certifications (e.g., Relativity Certified Pro, Certified E-Discovery Specialist) are preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Expertise in eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other corporate messaging and collaboration tools.
  • Relativity expertise is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
