Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a skilled IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Intellectual Property Litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge patent litigation matters while collaborating with a team of talented professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in IP litigation, strong case management experience, and the ability to work with experts and manage complex legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Lead and manage IP litigation cases, including all phases of patent litigation.
• Handle briefing, motions practice, and discovery, including taking depositions.
• Work closely with experts and contribute to the preparation of expert reports.
• Participate in PTAB proceedings, trials, and case management.
• Supervise junior associates and paralegals, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Manage client communications and contribute to strategic planning in litigation matters.
• Maintain a high level of organization and manage multiple cases effectively.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation, particularly patent litigation.
• Proven experience in managing cases from start to finish, including trial preparation.
• Experience with PTAB and trial proceedings is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York or eligible for licensure.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to the USPTO (preferred) or willing to sit for the examination.
