A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its team in Tampa, Florida. This role is ideal for a highly motivated legal professional with 2 to 4 years of civil litigation experience eager to contribute to a dynamic team. The candidate will handle complex legal matters, engage in rigorous research and analysis, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents for state and federal court filings.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and depositions.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests, responding to inquiries, and overseeing document review.
  • Conduct depositions and defend clients in depositions as required.
  • Research and write legal briefs, memoranda, and motions.
  • Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Maintain compliance with court deadlines and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of civil litigation experience, including trial preparation and court proceedings.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with discovery management, motions practice, and depositions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in The Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
