Senior Attorney/Lawyer needed for Wichita office

Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

• Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and correspondence.
• Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, and orders.
• Correspond with clients, attorneys, and court personnel regarding cases.
• Conduct interviews with witnesses and prepare them for court testimony.
• Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of all legal documents.
• Attend court hearings and proceedings for assigned cases.
• Manage and handle all aspects of assigned cases, including trial preparation and representation.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, mailing, and organizing case files.
• Conduct legal research on specific case issues as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Kansas state bar license required.
• Family law experience preferred but not required.
• Senior Associate candidates should have 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong communication and legal writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.

Certifications:

• Active Kansas State Bar membership.

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and pleadings.
• Experience conducting legal research.
• Ability to manage and handle cases from start to finish.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client and witness interactions.
• Trial experience or willingness to gain trial experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
