Duties:

  • Manage multiple case files in civil litigation, including construction defect defense, insurance coverage, and related matters
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and court orders
  • Respond to written discovery and dispositive motions
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare case evaluations
  • Prepare for and take depositions of parties and expert witnesses
  • Participate in mediations and represent clients at court appearances
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and case management plans
  • Review client documents and draft status reports

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in civil litigation defense, preferably in construction defect, insurance coverage, or workers' compensation
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona (state and federal courts)
  • Additional bar admissions, including California, are a plus
  • Strong organizational and case management skills in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with strong attention to detail

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Arizona
  • Admission to additional state bars, such as California, is preferred but not required

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting complex legal documents
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess cases and determine legal strategies
