A law firm in New York, NY, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience in handling commercial litigation pending in state and federal courts. The ideal candidate must possess strong writing skills and be admitted to the New York Bar, with New Jersey Bar admission considered a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters pending in state and federal courts.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and preparation.
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Attend and participate in client meetings and case-related conferences.
  • Stay updated on developments in commercial law and legal precedents.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Admission to the New York Bar.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (preferred).
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience handling cases in state and federal courts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to professionalism and ethical practice.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (preferred).
