Junior to Mid-Level Defense Litigation/Nursing Home Associate Attorney

A law firm in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Defense Litigation/Nursing Home Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The role will predominantly involve handling nursing home defense and medical malpractice cases, with opportunities to work on tort and other liability matters. Strong written communication skills and active membership in the Florida Bar are prerequisites for this position.

Duties:

• Manage nursing home defense and medical malpractice cases, with a focus on providing effective defense strategies.
• Handle various aspects of tort and other liability matters as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing home defense, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and/or tort litigation.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in written communication.

Education:
