A law firm seeks an experienced Labor & Employment Partner to join its expanding practice. This remote position is ideal for an attorney with deep expertise in both state and federal employment matters, and a strong track record in representing employers across a broad spectrum of employment law issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, with the ability to advise clients on complex employment-related matters, including wage and hour laws, employee discrimination, workplace safety, and M&A transactions.

Duties:

  • Provide expert counsel on employment issues such as wage and hour laws, non-compete agreements, and workplace safety.
  • Advise clients on complex matters involving disability leave laws, employee discrimination, wrongful discharge, and harassment.
  • Draft and review employment policies, employee handbooks, and other essential company documents.
  • Analyze and advise on employment-related issues in sophisticated M&A transactions, both domestic and international.
  • Represent employer-side clients in all areas of employment law.
  • Support clients with risk management strategies and ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in employment law, including complex employer-side matters.
  • Proven success in advising businesses on diverse employment-related legal issues.
  • Prior experience at a top-tier law firm (AmLaw 200 or similar).
  • A portable client base generating at least $250,000 annually or a solid, actionable business plan for client development.
  • Knowledge of employment law as it relates to M&A transactions is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state (preferably Pennsylvania).

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in labor and employment law, including wage and hour, discrimination, and workplace safety matters.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage complex legal matters from inception through resolution.
  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation abilities for employment policies and legal agreements.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment-related M&A issues.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, demonstrating strong time-management skills.
