A law firm is seeking a talented Electrical and Computer Technologies Associate Attorney to join their team in Boston. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and inventors throughout the patent process, preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the United States and internationally. The role involves conducting various analyses related to patent law and collaborating with team members on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process.
  • Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications in the United States and abroad.
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses.
  • Assist in other responsibilities or projects, as requested or needed.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide high-quality legal services.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about the status of their cases.
  • Ensure compliance with all firm policies and practices.
  • Stay current with developments in patent law and technology sectors relevant to client needs.
  • Perform thorough legal research and draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Participate in client meetings, providing expert legal advice and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, D.C.
  • Admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
